Tiggly Submarine: Preschool ABC Game App Reviews

I was excited to learn that Tiggly had developed another wonderful, educational app. When I told my five-year-old daughter, she couldnt wait to download it, because she thoroughly enjoys playing the other Tiggly apps (Tiggly Chef is her favorite!) this newest app doesnt disappoint! It is a wonderful introduction to vowel sounds and letter recognition, as well as an engaging and fun interface for children to be under-the-sea "vowel explorers". As a teacher and parent I appreciate the scaffolding the activities provided to the child - the first encounter with the word allows for detailed sight and sound connections to the word, the when it is revisited, the difficulty is increased and only the sight recognition remains. (One small suggestion with that though, some word pictures are easily confused as being a different word than intended, for example both "dog" and "pup" are picture clues for different vowel sounds, and my daughter had a hard time distinguishing the difference. Maybe a word that has a picture that isnt confusing with another word.) overall a wonderful and fun experience!

While it is a more complex app than most Tigglys apps (probably aimed at older kids), it still has the over-cute and very attentive to details art and gameplay.

My friends kids really like magic ocean and play with octopus. All animations are cool, but words are difficult.

We love the tales app and this one is incredibly cute as well. The characters are awesome and my daughter tries to draw pictures of her favorite characters after playing too. We love taking the Words toys on the road with us since I can just pop the toys in my bag and I usually have my iPad with me!

everything about this app is made with so much love to detail even such small things like the submarine’s lights turning on when entering dark waters feel great. My kids like playing it again and again and i feel good about it for it being a positive app and it’s fun to look at for me, too.

Every time I open this app it crashes and my home screen comes back up. Would love for it to work considering I just bought the tiggly words set!

My 5 year daughter was so excited when she finally received the Tiggly Words & Math for Christmas. We finally set down to play & the stupid app doesnt recognize the toy pieces. I now have a child in tears because without use of the pieces the apps are not vey original. This was a total waste of money & a complete disappointment. Save your money!

I use this with my students who are struggling with letter/sound association as well as understanding word boundaries- its great! I paid full price and got the letters/numbers from Tiggly to make it multi-sensory and more meaningful for my kiddos.

This app requires the purchase of physical toys to unlock and start the game. Boycott dishonest developers who attempt to upsale their other products
